LDEA Director General Abe Kromah calls for increment in budgetary Support to Adequately Combat Illicit Drugs

Monrovia–As part of efforts to fight illicit substances across Liberia, the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency headed by Abraham Kroma has extended a called to the government of Liberia through the national Legislature for increment of budgetary allotment to the entity.

LDEA Director General Col. Abraham Kromah made the appeal during the agency’s routine press briefing on Thursday at the Ministry of Information, Culture, Affairs, and Tourism.

He stated that the agency requires greater logistical support for operations meant to reduce drug use in the nation. Recall that at the beginning of this year, President Joseph Boakai proclaimed a drug emergency and asked Vice President Kung and all other public servants to take the drug test with him.

The head of the LDEA also revealed that the Agency will be visiting religious centers in the near future to engage with more residents, adding that this will enable the Agency to obtain more information.

Abraham Kromah, Col. urged everyone in Liberia to assist the DEA in eliminating drugs from the country’s market at the same time.
