Representative Mensah lobby for Judge Criminal Court ‘B’ Chinneh impeachment

CAPITOL HILL–Bong County Electoral District six Representative, Moima Briggs Mensah has called for the immediate impeachment of Criminal Court “B” Presiding Judge, Nelson Chinneh for his reported biased judgement in the Lucas Richards and Jessica Lloyd’s case.

On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, Judge Chinneh acquitted American Missionary, Lucas Richards of the crimes of criminal contempt to commit murder and aggravated assault in the case involving him and Miss Jessica Lloyd.

In his ruling, the judge stressed that the defendant did not cut the throat of his Liberian spouse, Miss Lloyd in the Dixville Township as claimed by the victim/complainant on December 14, 2023.

But Representative Mensah who chairs the House Committee on Gender vehemently opposed the judge’s ruling, emphasizing that it is completely biased.

In her communication to the plenary Thursday, April 18, 2024, the Bong County Electoral District six called for the impeachment of Judge Chinneh by the 55th Legislature for denying the poor justice.

Meanwhile, the communication of the lawmaker has been sent to the House Committee on Gender and Judiciary to report back to plenary in one week.
