Liberia: Criminal Court ‘B’ Acquits Lucas Richard in an Attempted Murder Trial

TEMPLE OF JUSTICE –After a verdict on the case, Lucas Richard, an American national who was imprisoned at Monrovia Central Prison and charged with attempted murder, was ruled not guilty.

In 2023, The Christian missionary from the Creekside Church was charged for trying to kill his wife, Jessica Lloyd.

Despite expectations of a guilty plea, The Criminal Court ‘B’ set Mr. Richards, as as a free man, causing shock among some courtroom attendees.

Meanwhile, the ground of the Temple of Justice was a place of attraction, as Jessica Lloyd who is said to be the alleged victim was seen in a frustrated mood, loudly cursing Richard the acquitted fellow as he embarked his vehicle.
On the other hand, the Verdict handed down on Wednesday April 17, 2024 has sparked public reactions, as many raises doubt over the justice system of the country.
