Monrovia, Liberia –Military Wives Association of Liberia has openly extended apologies to the public for creating condition that held the country hostage for nearly 48hrs. addressing scores of legislative reporters after an indoor meeting with the Speaker of the 55th Legislature, the spokesperson of the Association Seredom Redd Walker Noted that their action is regrettable but was done in the name of seeking peace. according to her decision was further intended to claim the attention of National stakeholders including the Commander in Chief.
“We did what we could do to seek Justice but it was not intentional” she added
The group at the same time lauded the President Amb. Joseph Nyuma Boakai for adhering to their plights. They clarified that embarrassment caused was voided of politics instead in the interest of their Husbands in the Army.
Late Sunday evening on February 11, 2024 A group under the banner Military Wives Association simultaneously embarked on a roadblock actions in Margibi, Bong, Bomi, Montserrado, Grand Gedeh Counties, causing Inconveniences for pedestrians travelling along the said direction. They demanded the resignation of the newly appointed Defense minister who later resign Due to the pressure.
Their action in recent time has speak out mixed feelings in the public for which many have terms as a Gross violation of the Liberian constitution that talks about freedom of movement.
