Liberia: Pres. Boakai commences work from Executive Mansion; Press Secretary Kula Fofana cites delay to ongoing renovation work at the mansion

Monrovia, Liberia- After managing government operations out of his private home at the ELWA Rehab Community for the previous two weeks, President Joseph Boakai has formally started working at the Executive Mansion.

At a press briefing on Friday, Presidential Press Secretary Kula Fofana blamed the President’s delayed move to the home on continuous renovations at the Presidential Residence.

On Monday, the President was spotted settling into the Liberian Presidency’s formal office to start working there.

The Executive Mansion of Liberia is the official residence and workplace of the country’s president which is Located across the street from the Capitol Building in the Capitol Hill district of Monrovia, the current building was constructed during the presidency of William Tubman, which lasted from 1944 to 1971. The facility has since been used by many Liberian leader Former President George M. Weah.
