Liberia: House of Representative Mourns Amid the Lost of Grand Gedeh D1 Rep. Erol Madison Gwion

Capitol Hill, Monrovia–Members of the honorable House of Representatives of the 55th Legislature, paid heartfelt tribute to the late Grand Gedeh County Electoral District one Representative, Erol Madison Gwion, during the State Funeral held in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building.

The somber occasion brought together dignitaries, fellow lawmakers, family members, and well-wishers to honor the memory of the late Representative. Deputy Speaker Thomas P. Fallah, on behalf of the legislative body, expressed deep sorrow and extended sincere condolences to the family, friends, and constituents of the Late Lawmaker
During the State Funeral held in the Capitol Building’s Rotunda, members of the honorable House of Representatives of the 55th Legislature offered sincere condolences to the late Representative from Grand Gedeh County’s Electoral District One, Erol Madison Gwion.

Dignitaries, other MPs, family members, and well-wishers gathered for the solemn event to pay tribute to the late Representative. On behalf of the legislative assembly, Deputy Speaker Thomas P. Fallah conveyed the legislature’s profound sadness and sent heartfelt sympathies to the late lawmaker’s family, friends, and constituents.

Deputy Speaker Fallah gave a heartfelt tribute, saying, “Today, we gather as a close family and not just as colleagues to mourn the passing of a dedicated public servant, Hon. Erol Madison Gwion.” We shall always hold a special place in our hearts for his unflinching devotion to the people of Grand Gedeh County and his ceaseless efforts in service of our country.”

The remains of Hon. Erol Madison Gwion were placed in state in the Capitol Building’s Rotunda, where colleagues, members of the Senate, Senate Pro-Tempore, Vice President of the Republic Jeremiah Koung, and residents paid their respects. Rep. Gwion had a significant influence on both the neighborhood and the country as a whole, as seen by the respectful State Funeral.
The late Representative died on the 4th of December 2024, after a brief illness in Ghana.
