Monrovia, Liberia- According to family sources , he died on November 18, 2022 late Saturday evening in Nimba County where his remain has been deposited in the Saclepea Mosque.
The Professor who kicked the bucket at age 83 was reported ill early January of 2023 by one of his sons John Dopoe who attributed the illness as an old age battle.
Prof. Dopoe is popularly known for his ironical music career especially his famous track “Sweet sweet cassava leaf”. He has made an impact in both the education and entertainment spaces in Liberia.
The Veteran music icon and educator has thought several institutions of higher learning in Liberia including the State run University UL and Cuttington University (CU).
