Monrovia, Liberia- Mr. Jacob Kabakollie, the Officer in Charge of the National Oil Company of Liberia, has refuted media reports that associate him with claims of misappropriating US$600,000 meant for the organization.
Recently, Mr. Kabakollie was charged with allegedly wasting money totaling six hundred US dollars. However, in his remarks at the MICAT special press briefing on Monday, the Officer in Charge of NOCAL made it clear that he never signed any documents pertaining to NOCAL. He says the accusations are an intentional attempt to damage his reputation and commitment to the institution’s advancement.
The head of NOCAL stated that he is still committed to seeing the National Oil Company of Liberia succeed. Kabakollie is simultaneously pleading with media organizations to respect the values of truthful and impartial reporting and abstain from taking part in character assassination.
