PSU Officers Recalled for Investigation in Kolubah Vs Koon Capitol Building Saga

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia National Police (LNP) has recalled two Police Support Unit (PSU) officers assigned to the Capitol Building following the heated incident involving Representative Yekeh Kolubah and Representative Richard Koon.

The officers, Sergeant Sam C. F. Karbor and Chief Inspector Frank P. Banda, are currently under investigation by the LNP’s Professional Standards Division.

The incident unfolded earlier today when Rep. Kolubah parked his unlicensed vehicle in the Majority Bloc Speaker’s reserved space and went upstairs. Unable to identify the owner, Majority Bloc Speaker Koon reportedly ordered the car to be dismantled and towed away. Upon returning, Rep. Kolubah found his vehicle damaged and missing items, leading to a public outburst where he vowed to take legal action—and if necessary, personal retaliation—against Rep. Koon.

The LNP in a release on Feb 18, 2025 Tuesday afternoon reassures the public of its commitment to maintaining law and order.
