President Weah Appoints Minister Samora Wolokolie To LRA as Commissioner General, Amid the Demised of Thomas Doe Nah

Executive Mansion, Liberia–Samora Wolokolie has been nominated by President George Manneh Weah to be the Commissioner General of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA).

As mandated by the Liberian Constitution of 1986, the Honorable Senate of Liberia must verify the late-year appointment, according to the Executive Mansion.

The nominations of the Deputy Minister for Fiscal Affairs at at the Ministry of Finance and Development planning marks the second appointment by the office of the president despite the expiration of his tenure in the next few weeks.

Should Dr. Wolokolie be verified, he will succeed the late Thomas Doe Nah, who held the role since 2020 and passed away in December after a prolonged illness.

From the start of the CDC cabinet in 2018, Dr. Wolokolie has served as the deputy minister for Fiscal Affairs at the Finance Ministry.
