By Staff Writer;

Monrovia, Liberia – Following Series of public concern over corruption scandal, Rustonlyn Suacoco Dennis, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), and Comptroller Richmond Jallah are expected to undergo criminal investigation for alleged corruption. The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) will be handed key evidence anytime this week, implicating both officials in a series of questionable financial dealings.

The evidence, reportedly compiled by a whistleblower Mr. Alfred G. Togbah, includes damning documents and financial records pointing to serious misconduct at the state-run oil company. As a result, there is now mounting pressure on President Joseph Nyuma Boakai to take swift action. Advocates are calling for Dennis’ immediate suspension or removal from her post pending the LACC investigation.

At the same time, critics have accused Dennis of a “greed-driven” leadership style, with one unnamed government official stating, “Best practice would be for her to resign or recuse herself, but given her unyielding thirst for wealth and luxury, it’s unlikely she will step down voluntarily.”

The controversy surrounding NOCAL comes at a critical time for Liberia’s oil sector, as the country seeks to maintain transparency and accountability in its resource management.
