NEC Receives Ballot Papers for Nimba County District #5 By-Election

The National Elections Commission (NEC) has officially announced the arrival of electoral materials for the upcoming Representative By-Election in District #5, Nimba County.

In a press statement issued by the Co-Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners Madam P. Teplah Revees ,confirmed that the consignment, which includes ballot papers, Tactile Guides, and Records of the Count, arrived on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. These materials are in preparation for the by-election scheduled later this year.

Madam Reeves futher that the following materials were received and securely stored at the Commission’s Central Warehouse.
Those materials received are 41,800 ballots papers, 751 Tactile Guides, followed by 751 Record of the count forms.

All materials were delivered under the escort of the Liberia National Police and will remain under police protection until their deployment to the magisterial warehouse in Sanniquellie, Nimba County. At the same time the co-chair said the total number of register voters are 29,823 ,voting Percints 21 and polling places 69.

The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a free, fair, transparent, and inclusive by-election and called on all political parties, stakeholders, and voters to support the peaceful execution of the process.
