Liberia: Government allot to JPTT $US650,000 for Smooth Inauguration

Monrovia, Liberia- In order to provide the Joint Presidential Transition team with the necessary financial support for President-elect Joseph Boakai’s successful inauguration, President Weah has approved the allocation of $650,000 USD.

The incoming and outgoing presidents have formed the Joint Presidential Transition team to facilitate a smooth and orderly handover of power on January 22, 2024, from the CDC government to the Unity Party government.

Speaking at a news conference on behalf of Vice President-elect Jeremiah Koung on Thursday in Monrovia, Attorney Samuel Kofi Woods stated that the CDC government has fully collaborated with the inauguration committee by supplying the required cash to make the process easier.

He claims that everything is now prepared for President-elect Joseph Boakai’s inauguration, stating that all apparatus and agencies have been given the go-ahead and are powered on.

At the same time, Attorney Kofi Woods praised JPTT members from both the outgoing and present administrations for their excellent collaboration and dedication to ensuring a smooth transition.
