Monrovia, Liberia – Ruling Unity Party through its National Chairman Rev. Luther Tarpeh, has issued a stark warning to its government officials, demanding urgent action on pressing social issues, including unemployment, drug abuse, and underperforming sectors.

In a strongly worded statement, Chairman Tarpeh reminded officials that the “honeymoon period” with the Liberian people is over, and results are now expected.

He specifically addressed the need to combat youth unemployment, improve education, and tackle Liberia’s escalating drug crisis.

Describing the drug epidemic as a national emergency, the party called on the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to intensify efforts to dismantle drug networks and rehabilitate affected youth.

Officials were also cautioned against neglecting the grassroots partisans who played pivotal roles in securing the party’s victory. “We were not elected to provide excuses,” the Chairman declared, urging underperforming officials to deliver tangible progress or risk replacement.

The Unity Party’s ARREST agenda—focusing on agriculture, roads, education, sanitation, and tourism—remains the guiding framework for Liberia’s development, with the Chairman stressing that no sector should lag behind.
