In a stirring address over the weekend, Liberia’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Magdalene Ellen Dagoseh, emphasized that the success of the Boakai-led government hinges not on individual expertise alone but on the collective strength and collaboration of its appointed officials.
Speaking at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, Minister Dagoseh reinforced President Boakai’s vision for Liberia, urging her fellow cabinet members to view their roles not as isolated positions but as part of a united mission aimed at advancing the country through the ARREST Agenda—a framework focused on enhancing the nation’s prosperity and stability.
“No sector can succeed in isolation,” Dagoseh noted, emphasizing that each government institution faces challenges that are intertwined. The solutions, she asserted, must therefore be built on a foundation of teamwork. The Minister highlighted that while the path ahead may not always be smooth, the unwavering commitment of the cabinet to build on past successes while addressing existing challenges remains steadfast.
She further explained that each ministry, whether in commerce, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, or security, plays a vital role in crafting a more resilient and prosperous Liberia. Dagoseh underscored that the Boakai administration’s guiding principles of justice, equality, and opportunity are not merely aspirational goals but fundamental tenets of the vision they collectively strive to fulfill.
Minister Dagoseh also took the opportunity to thank President Boakai for the trust placed in her and her colleagues, assuring him that they would remain resolute in their mission to deliver on his promises to the Liberian people.
As the country moves forward, the emphasis on collaboration within Liberia’s leadership underscores an essential shift towards unity in governance—one that aims to lay the groundwork for a brighter, more equitable future for all Liberians.
