Sanniquellie, Nimba Co. — The Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) Nimba County Branch has officially directed all party members, auxiliaries, and sympathizers to throw their weight behind three selected candidates in the forthcoming Nimba County Bi-Election.

In a press release issued Friday and signed by Reginald Mehn, Chairman of the CDC-Nimba Branch, the party named Madam Edith Gongloe Weh, Cllr. Garrison Doldeh Yealue Jr., and Hon. Mark B. Gblinwon as the candidates to receive full party backing. The directive comes following a resolution between the National Executive Committee and the County Executive Committee.

“This mandate reflects the love for party discipline,” the release stated, emphasizing unity and loyalty among members.

The CDC did not mince words about consequences for defiance. According to the release, any party official or member seen publicly supporting a regime candidate—or any other outside contender—will be considered in violation of party standing orders and will face disciplinary action.

The communication serves as a clear signal of the party’s intent to maintain internal cohesion and strategic alignment ahead of the bi-election, which is expected to be fiercely contested in one of Liberia’s politically vibrant counties.

“Long live the mighty CDC,” the release concluded, reinforcing the party’s enduring battle cry as it mobilizes its base.
