Assets Recovery Case Against Nora Finda Bundo Up

Monrovia, Montserrado County — The First Judicial Circuit, Criminal Assizes “C” has scheduled a hearing for Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in a case filed by the Republic of Liberia through the Assets Recovery & Property Retrieval Task Force (AREPT) against former Deputy Minister/Chief of Protocol Nora Finda Bundoo and several co-defendants.

According to a Notice of Assignment issued by the Clerk of Court, Criminal Assizes “C”, J. Amos F. Gbowah, and dated June 17, 2025, the court commanded the Sheriff to notify all parties and their legal counsels to appear before Assigned Circuit Judge Ousman F. Feika at the Temple of Justice. The hearing is for AREPT’s “Motion to Justify Surety” and the “Prosecution’s Exception to Property Valuation” related to the underlying case.

Court documents list the defendants as Bundoo, Francis T. Blamo, Anita Pamela Jallah, Emmanuel Kollie, Jimmy Emmanuel Flomo, Anthony Saytue, Philip Toe, Praise Farley, Edwin Kai, Joyce Sawyer, Susannah Nollen, Catherine Satia, Boyd Wah, Gertrude Daye, and others. The charges outlined include Money Laundering, Theft of Property, Misuse of Public Money/Property or Records, Criminal Conspiracy, Forgery, and Criminal Facilitation.

AREPT, through its Chairman Cllr. Edwin K. Martin and the Ministry of Justice, is listed as the movant/plaintiff. Cllr. Martin is named as counsel for the movant, while Cllr. Abraham Wade Simpson and Cllr. M. Wilkins Wright are listed as counsel for the respondent/defendants.

The notice directs parties to acknowledge service and file returns with the Clerk. No pleas or arguments have been recorded in the documents. The case remains pending before Criminal Court “C” for the May Term, A.D. 2026.
