Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia People Democratic Party (LPDP) has expressed profound sadness over the passing of Honorable Sylvester M. Grigsby, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, describing him as a selfless statesman whose contributions to Liberia will remain etched in the nation’s history.
In a condolence statement issued under the signature of Chief Moses Kollie, LPDP Chairman, the party said Grigsby’s death was a painful loss not only to his family but to the government and people of Liberia.
The statement recalled that as Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Grigsby played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of the nation and that his efforts will leave “a lasting impact on the fabric of our society.”
LPDP praised his “unwavering commitment, untiring dedication, and tireless efforts,” noting that his life of purpose was driven by passion for Liberia’s growth and prosperity.
“We take solace in the knowledge that Honorable Grigsby lived a life of purpose, driven by his passion for the development and progress of his people. His legacy will continue to guide us now and inspire future generations of Liberians to build a brighter future for the state,” the statement emphasized.
The party further extended heartfelt sympathies to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, the bereaved family, and the Liberian people, urging them to take comfort in Grigsby’s service, integrity, and compassion.
LPDP concluded with prayers for the late minister’s soul to rest in eternal peace.
