The world has lost a distinguished figure with the passing of Cletus Segbe Wotorson, a venerable Liberian politician and esteemed professor emeritus of Geology, who has died at 87.
Wotorson, who held the position of Senate Pro-Tempore from 2009 to 2012, leaves behind a legacy of public service that spanned decades.
His notable roles included serving as Minister of Lands and Mines and as CEO of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company.
Despite his significant contributions, including a fourth-place finish in Liberia’s 1997 presidential election, his departure marks a somber moment for his family and the nation.
