Monrovia, Liberia- Making the disclosure at the ministry of information cultural Affairs and Tourism regular press briefing on Monday March 18 2024, Foreign Minister Madam Sara Beyslow Nyanti called on all those bearing diplomatic, official and service passport with the duration of more than two (2) years are hereby requested to return them to the ministry of foreign Affairs commencing Tuesday,march 19, 2024:with an end date of this exercise being April 18,2024.
The Liberia foreign Minister at the same time called on all citizens and non_Liberians who are not eligible for diplomatic, officials and service passport to kindly return the passport to the ministry of foreign Affairs regardless of duration of validity period as those passport will be cancelled with immediate effect.
Minister Nyanti further that those with Diplomatic, officials and service passports are hereby informed that those extra passports will be cancelled with immediate effect, as the reissuance of Diplomatic, officials and service passports will be based on eligibility, as the cost of the replacement of said passports will be free of charge to citizens with costs borne by the Ministry of foreign Affairs.
The minister of foreign Affairs however caution those outside the country who are holding Diplomatic, official or service passports that need to be replaced, to kindly report to the nearest Liberian Embassy or consulate.
