At long last, the Government approves Cape Mount citizen’s and workers’ major demands to cease lengthened protestations and road blocks in Western Liberia

The Inter-Ministerial Committee on Concessions has agreed to let the Country Manager of BEA Mountain Mining Company, Mr. Debah Allen to go as a means of restoring peace and harmony to the mining site and surrounding communities.

The communities and workers had earlier presented 38 counts to end continuous protestations against the company. They said all can be negotiated, except the issue of Mr. Allen who they all were calling for his immediate removal from the company mining areas.

The government of Liberia decided through the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Concessions to terminate the services of Mr. Debah Allen following heated consultations with the company.

Mr. Allen’s removal is expected to restore calm in the concession areas of Bea Mountain Company after series of riots and critical uprising that saw few deaths and several injuries of Kinjor’s Citizens.
