Justice Njideka Nwosu-Iheme of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja has sentenced Peter Nwachukwu, husband of the late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu, to death by hanging.
On Monday, the court dismissed Nwachukwu’s no-case submission, found him guilty of culpable homicide, and held him responsible for Osinachi’s tragic death on April 8, 2022.
“The prosecution successfully proved its case beyond reasonable doubt,” the judge declared while delivering the verdict.
Peter Nwachukwu, first arraigned on June 3, 2022, by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation, faced 23 charges, including homicide, domestic violence, child abuse, and spousal assault.
Throughout the high-profile trial, 17 witnesses — including two of Osinachi’s children — testified against him, while 25 critical documents were tendered as evidence askoplast.com.ua.
