Meet Joseph Yado Howe, one of the seven individuals indicted in connection with Liberia’s ongoing US$1.8 million corruption investigation.

Howe, who previously served as Senior Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is named alongside former Commerce Minister Mawine G. Diggs and other officials in the case announced by the Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Taskforce (AREPT).

Sources familiar with the past administration say Howe was considered an intimate associate of Diggs during her tenure at the ministry, a relationship now drawing public attention as investigations continue.

The defendants face multiple charges, including theft of property, economic sabotage, and criminal conspiracy, linked to funds intended for a national small business support program.
