Northern Liberia – Senator Momo Cyrus has promised to direct the six million Liberian dollars towards improving small businesses within the county.
The Lofa county Senator said the amount is in fulfillment of a campaign promise made to women of the county during the 2023 General and Presidential Elections.
Speaking in an Exclusive interview with The people’s News papper recently at the Thanks Giving Service held at the Liberty Christian Church in Johnsonville in commemoration of the 177 Independence Day celebration, senator Cyrus lamented that the Six million Liberian Dollars have already being secured as he and his team are expected to arrive in Voinjama in few days to disburse the amount among Lofa administrative districts.
He narrated that he has promised the women of Lofa 50 million Liberian dollars and the six million Dollars he had secured is a part of the project.
Senator Cyrus said the gesture is part of efforts to better the lives of his district residents stressing that women empowerment is a key component.
The chair on National Defense, Security and intelligence however promised to infuse more money into the scheme if the women’s empowerment exercise advances.
