While the clinic has made strides in self-development, it is evident that additional assistance is crucial to addressing some pressing issues that impact both the facility and the lives it serves.
One of the most urgent needs is securing the clinic’s premises with a fence. Encroachment by marketers has been a persistent problem, disrupting the clinic’s operations and posing risks to patients seeking medical attention. A properly fenced facility will ensure order, protect medical resources, and create a safe environment for both staff and patients.
Another critical challenge is space constraints. Every day, the facility struggles to accommodate the growing number of patients. The overwhelming demand for healthcare services underscores the urgent need for expansion, ensuring that no patient is turned away or left untreated due to lack of space. The aging window boxes of the clinic also require immediate replacement. These worn-out structures not only compromise the building’s integrity but also create potential health and safety hazards. Water is life, yet the water reservoir in the area has been out of service for some time. Reliable access to clean water is non-negotiable for any healthcare facility, as it is essential for sanitation, medical procedures, and the well-being of patients and staff. Given the government’s limitations in addressing all these pressing issues at once, this is a clarion call to Representative Michael Thomas, the Executive, NGOs, humanitarian organizations, and other well-meaning individuals and groups to intervene. Their support will not only boost the facility’s efforts but also transform healthcare accessibility for thousands of people who depend on this clinic for survival.
