Rep. Koinah Beats all Odds; Presents Certificate of Election to constituents

Bong County_ For the first time in the history of Bong County electoral District One, a newly elected Representative Hon. Prince K. koinah sets a new standard and presented his Certificate of election to elders of his district at the Weekend in his native Camp- two in Boinsein.

The district One Lawmaker’s action is aimed at appreciating the citizens for their massive support during the October 10 polls that brought him to parliament.

The Certificate of Election was presented to the citizens during an elaborate honoring ceremony organized by residents of the area in Congratulating their son for being the first person to be elected from the Sub District (Boinsein).

Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Koinah who got finally elected on January 12, 2024 after a prolonged court proceedings admonished residents of Electoral District One to put their political differences aside to unite to work collaboratively for the common good of all and sundry.

“Elections have come and gone but we the residents still remain; therefore, we need to allow bygone to be bygone and embrace one another for the total transformation of our beloved district”, Hon. Koinah emphasized.

In a related development, the Chief of Office Staff (COS) in the office of Hon. Koinah, Mr. Decker D. Paye, lauded the residents for what he described as an unprecedented turnout and encouraged them to always seek the district’s interest in whatever they do, adding ” seeking the district’s interest also means doing all we can in our weak ways to build our patrimony and make it second to none.”

Meanwhile, making a brief comment after the presentation, the Acting Commissioner of Kpaai District, Bong County, Mr. James Tokpoquoi, congratulated Hon. Koinah on his election victory and assured him of his commitment and willingness to always work with his office.

For her part, Dorris DoloKelleh, the General Town Chief of Zone #02 Waytuah Clan, thanked Hon. Koinah for the presentation of NEC’s Certificate to District One residents, stating ” Such a move demonstrates that, indeed, you are prepared to work with us as citizens of the district”.

In a related news, the Paramount Chief of Boinsen Statutory District, Mr. Arthur Dowah, expressed his warmest felicitation to Hon Koinah on his election as the first ever representative to have hailed from that sub- district and thereby encouraged the Lawmaker to work in the best interest of the citizenry.

The traditional leaders expressed gratitude to Hon. Koinah for what they described as “first of its kind” for a newly elected lawmaker to present a certificate of election to the district.

The ceremony was graced by residents including eminent personalities such as paramount chiefs, commissioners, development superintendent, clan chiefs, traditional chiefs, elders, Zone chiefs, Chief Elders, women’s representatives, health workers among others.
