
Jackson, a Liberian economist, was earlier implicated in the death of his wife based on preliminary findings from a police investigation.
Authorities subsequently charged him with several offenses, including negligent homicide, manslaughter, endangering another person’s life, and aggravated assault.
He was released on Monday and is expected to remain out of custody pending trial.
Under Liberian law, all the charges brought against him are bailable offenses.
