Monrovia, Liberia- The Fight Against illicit Drugs in Liberia is progressing gradually as the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) under the surveillance of Col. Abraham Kromah continues to track down alleged Drugs Dealers across Montserrado and other parts of the country.
Following the apprehension of a notorious Nigeria drugs dealer George Ikpehehukwu popularly known as “Original Japan” along with others, in Sayon Town Bushrod Island, the LDEA has also arrested another man believes to be in his 40s, for been in possession of additional narcotic substances in the St. Paul bridge community.
The LDEA patrol team at the Weekend discovered the substance in the home of the alleged drug trafficker, thou he denied the accusations, stating that he has never been involved into such act.
Since his appointment by the President and subsequent confirmation by the Senate, LDEA boss Col. Kromah continues to institute harsh measures to curb drug trafficking in Liberia.
According to reports, a 25-year-old man identified as Mark Doe was also arrested for been in possession of over One-Hundred Thousand Liberian Dollars ($100,000 LD) worth of narcotic substances in District #2 Sinoe County.
Meanwhile, The Bassa Detachment of the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has reportedly seized a huge quantity of drugs in Wee District, Grand Bassa County.
The narcotics, identified as tubes was concealed in a bag of rice before it’s interception.
Many have lauded the new LDEA Boss Abe Kromah for the bold strides in keeping with Pres. Boakai’s commitment to fight illicit drugs.
