Monrovia, Liberia – The Ministry of Education has bestowed the honor of national Orator upon Honorable Wantoe Teah Wantoe for the upcoming 176th Flag Day Celebration. This prestigious designation recognizes Wantoe’s exceptional contributions to youth development and global sustainability. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy at the University of Oxford, Pembroke College, with a focus on the Blavatnik School of Government, Wantoe has also been a fervent advocate for the rights of women and children.
The Flag Day festivities, set to take place at the Centennial Memorial Pavilion, will center around the theme, “The Lonestar, A Symbol of Unity and Nationalism.” The Ministry of Education aims to encourage a sense of national unity as Liberia commemorates its 176th Flag Day. This celebration will not only feature the national Orator but also include the recognition of outstanding educators with awards for Best Teacher, Principal, and School Administrator of the Year. Additionally, participating schools will compete in various categories, such as Best Eyes Right and Best Dressed School, with prizes set aside to recognize excellence.
