President-Elect Joe Boakai Governing Structure should not Ignore TORs Amid Many Request for lucrative post

Monrovia Liberia- As it stands, Joe Boakai is yet the epitome of unrelenting dedication to constructing Liberians final destination as a regenerated nation. It is believe that Boakai is the final, best chance to mold what is considered as new Liberia. His decision-making is marked by reason, quiet resolve, firmness, and careful deliberation.

However, the incoming Leader must hold off on appointing people until a clear framework and structure are in place and potential hires be thoroughly investigated. It’s time to break with the past 176 years of practice and stop making appointments at random. Instead, a deliberate effort should be made to professionalize the procedure and move away from just compiling lists.
Unfortunately, a lot of people are obsessed with landing “lucrative” jobs without taking the time to learn about Joe Boakai’s vision, beliefs, business culture, and heritage. This emphasizes how urgently many attitude to employment needs to change to one of professionalism.

If Amb. Boakai should meet his objective as president of Liberia, he shouldn’t be subjected to unfair pressure. As it is noted that a shocking 90% of the government lacks defined Terms of Reference (ToR). Developing a mission-driven culture with strong rules of conduct is cardinal.

According to a quick Google search, ToRs are a major worry for Liberians. More than two thousand calls and texts have been received by the organization complaining that job descriptions are missing, therefore it is clear that individuals are longing for clarification.

Director General, along with capable individuals at the Civil Service Agency, is pivotal to fostering a transparent and efficient government.
We are buoyed by the growing need among Liberians for unambiguous Terms of Reference. This represents a new beginning and a crucial move towards removing corruption and ineptitude.
When there aren’t clear standards for accountability, it becomes difficult to hold people accountable. Real development is hampered by the focus on malpractice that results from the lack of performance reviews. Even a rational individual in the corporate sector would not hire someone without a job description.

In conclusion, if the New Liberia agenda should be met, it should begin with the recruitment of qualify and knowledgeable of the job with reference to the Term of Reference.
