Somali President and his Vice President in Public Fist Fight – Should Liberia Expect Similar Occurrence Soon?

In a rather strangest of events, the President of Somali Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed and his vice, Abdirahman Saylici, have been seen fighting during live television address.

In a video circulating on social media, the 58-year-old President and his deputy can be seen throwing blows at each other.

While speaking during a live event, the president suddenly stood up and started punching his deputy. The deputy, without hesitation also responded, leading to a serious fist fight. It took the collective efforts of a number of other officials present to separate the duo who were committed to tearing each other apart.

The incident reportedly followed a heated argument between the two at a press conference hosted by the President.

Meanwhile, Political pundits believe it is just the matter of time before Liberia experience similar occurrence considering the current feud between President Weah and his deputy, Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor

Somali has never had peace since the nation broke away from Somalia in 1991.
