MONROVIA – Several homes were gutted in a fire on 20th Street, Sinkor behind Access Bank. The fire broke out in a house around 9:17 pm on Sunday and quickly spread to others.
There was no loss of life or anyone injured in the fire that struck those homes, an eye witness said.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be known.
It is alleged that the Liberia Fire National Service arrived after almost an hour of the incident.
By the time they reached the spot, several homes had been burnt already. However, their intervention prevented the fire from reaching more homes.
Though no loss of life was reported, several homes and other valuables worth thousands of US dollars were damaged leaving many families homeless.
