The Second Division League of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) has seen three teams relegated.
Bristol FC and Junior Professional were both relegated to the third division, as far as the latest results are concerned.
In Kakata, Margibi County, according to the results of Tuesday, June 9, 2019 at the Nancy Doe Sport Stadium, Alie Kamara scored twice as Mighty Barrolle dragged Bristol FC 4-1. Still in Margibi County, the early kickoff saw Srimex FC and Samira FC settling to a 3-3 draw via a hat trick from Bill Blemah.
Meanwhile, at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS), Ousman Kamara scored a hat trick for Mighty Blue Angels following a narrow defeat of Junior Professional at 3-2. Thereafter, in another second division match of the day at ATS, Page FC defeated Jai FC 1-0 in order to escape relegation.
In Sanniquellie, Nimba County, Nimba Kwado and Gardnersiville FC played to a 1-1 draw, while Heaven Eleven also enhanced their escape from relegation with a 2-1 win over visiting Tony FC.
Meanwhile, the LFA awarded three points to Heaven Eleven after it was proven that player Sekou Kamara was ineligible to feature for Junior Professionals in a match in which they lost 4-2 at the ATS.
At the North Star sport ground, Barracks Young Controllers (BYCII) needed only a draw against Muscat FC to be confirmed champion. But that match did not end after the match official was called off by referee Hassan Corneh due to insecurity.
The referee called off the match because his assistant Joe Wonka Doe was stoned allegedly by Muscat FC supporters and spectators, while BYC was up 1-0 in the 85th minute.
