Partisans of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change in Grand Gedeh County this morning staged a violent protest at a guesthouse believed to be hosting the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) delegation headed by its Chairman, Mr. Alexander B. Cummings.
Videos on social media showed several CDCians, mostly youth, blocking the main road leading to the guesthouse early Thursday morning in Zwedru, throwing stones and chanting for the immediate departure of Montserrado County District no.10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah.
It is believed that the protest was triggered by Rep. Yekeh Kolubah’s continuous criticism of the Weah-led government.
Officers of the joint security later arrived on the scene in an attempt to put the situation under control.
The Protesters reportedly damaged vehicles belonging to the CPP delegation.
