Cardinals Class of BUDUSEC Donates School Supplies to Soniwein Community School

Monrovia – The Cardinals Class of Buduburam Community Senior Secondary School (BUDUSEC) Ghana, has donated school supplies to the Soniwein Community School in Rally Town Market.

The gesture, according to the group, stemmed out of their passion for education and goal towards facilitating students’ access to quality education in challenged communities and support to raise future leaders for the nation.

As part of the package, which included copybook, pencils, pens and sharpeners, the group also ensured the proper distribution of the items to all of the over 700 students in the school.

The Chairman of BUDUSEC Liberia Chapter, Mr. Desmond Tiklo Thompson disclosed that Monday’s donation marks the beginning of series of planned donations at different schools situated in slum communities across the Liberia.

For his part, the Vice Principal of the Soniwein Community School expressed gratitude to the group for the wonderful gesture to the school and stated that the school materials had come at the right time.

“It is an honour to witness this day. In fact, considering the current wave of hardship faced by parents, these items came at the appropriate time. On behalf of the Principal and the entire school, I would like to say a big thank you for this initiative which I know would help enhance our students’ learning. It takes only the kind heart to do this, we appreciate it very much.”

Also speaking speaking at the program on behalf of the students, student Naomi Ross of the 6th grade class thanked the group for prioritizing their school needs during these difficult times and said the items will help enhance their learning.
